Teen Witch - "Top That" Rap Scene

Whoa! I Didn't See That Coming This Way

Have you heard of Daily Grace? Pretty funny gal. Below she reviews ABC Family and "Make it or Break it." I couldn't put it better myself.

This girl is so cute and so witty that I can't help but wonder if this is scripted a la loneygirl15 and danielbeast in youtube's early days. I guess it doesn't really matter.

I Promise I Am Not Jaded

I just think this is funny. Oh, and, I might agree with her. Only a little though.

The Gap is Making Me Fat

So, my super-awesome ex-mother-in-law sent me a $300 (!) gift certificate to Banana Republic. Yipee. I do most of my shopping online b/c Bloomington sucks shopping-wise. So, it's tons of trial and error. I have to drop off my returns at the closest UPS, which happens to be at the student union. I can't, JUST CAN'T, go to the union and NOT get Pizza Hut breadsticks and a Special K chewy cookie. This might become a problem.

Where Did All The Socks Go?

You know how you buy 12 pairs of socks and they disappear within a month? I have the same problem with hair ties. I buy a package and then they instantly disappear. Well, I started packing for the big move today. I started with my two night stands and found:

I wonder what else I am going to find while packing? This is actually going to be kind of fun.

Boy Crazy

Feeling a little boy crazy lately. I blame him:

I'm probably the only girl in the world who watched "The King's Speech" and then subsequently became boy crazy. Maybe not.

I am also realizing that I am probably feeling a little boy crazy because I actually have time to be so. No school + baby daddy in town = me actually able to leave the house in order to just have fun.

Irrational Hatred

Wicker. Yuck. Hate it.

 Total nightmare.

Cereal Ratings

Ok, I eat more cereal than any human in the world. I love it. My absolute favorite is Frosted Mini-Wheats. A box never lasts more than 48 hours in my house. In fact, I have it on auto-delivery from "Subscrive and Save" on Amazon (8 boxes per month).

It's important to note that frosted shredded wheat is not equal among all brands. Sometimes you find that generics are exactly the same as name brand (and even made in the exact same factory). Not these.

#3
Target's Market Pantry Frosted Bite-Size Shredded Wheat
Rating: HORRIBLE / less than 50% frosted

#2 (a tie)
Kroger Bite-Size Frosted Shredded Wheat
Rating: Doable / 70% frosted

Kellogg's Mini-Wheats
Rating: Doable / 70% frosted

#1 Food Club Bite-Sized Frosted Shredded Wheat
Rating: BEST / 85% frosted / there is always a box on the guest side of my bed for a middle-of-the-night snack.

P.S.

To my dear old Chicago friends Marisa and Wendy (and former co-workers at media agency),

I thought I'd point out that I am officially out of advertisers' "ideal" demographic. You guys still have one more year though! Live your last year of 18-34 to its fullest!!! Meanwhile, I will enjoy being targeted by products for 35-to-44-year-olds such as wrinkle cream and Danactive (both of which I could use right now).

It's My Birthday!

And I am home sick instead having an "EPIC" night out. "EPIC" is in quotation marks because Darius said it would be epic. I guess having dudes buy me shots all night = epic (wait, how old am I turning?). Haha.

My birthday ain't so bad though: I am currently eating an entire container of Half-Baked Ben & Jerry's ice cream while watching "The King's Speech," I got a lovely phone call right before midnight from a dear friend who also told me the canary candle holders are in the mail (yay!!!), and tomorrow I am sleeping in and then wandering aimlessly around Target. Oh, and getting a strep test.

Indiana's State Motto

"Can I get a side of ranch with that?"

I at least hope to train Audrey to be a little classier with her ranch request: "May I have a side of ranch dressing please?"

I Love Travel Shows

I only get one channel on TV: PBS. Thursday nights are the highlight of the week's programming for me because it's "Globetrekker" night. It's a delightful travel show that you must check out if you haven't seen it. Bloomingtonians, they have most of the eps at the public library. The best eps IMO are: Cameroon, Mirconesia, and Northern France. One of my favorite shows of all time.

My Birthday List: Cont.

Canary candle holders from CB2: I need at least two of these.

Moon jars: Blue or purple, please.
Sparrow hooks: I have been wanting these for over a year now. I love them.

Chanel nail polish. In typical Jack fashion, I want last year's colors (Mistral, Riviera, Nouvelle). I also like Ballerina.

Framed Matisse.

Yup, I still want this. The pink one. Size 4 please.

Heartbreaking

Searches are ongoing. If you are able to assist in the efforts to find Lauren, please visit the Indiana Daily Student web site at www.idsnews.com for search schedules and logistics. A Twitter account at http://twitter.com/#!/NewsOnLaurenS, a Facebook page (Missing: Lauren Spierer), and the web site of the Helene G. Simon Hillel Center (http://iuhillel.org/) will also have information on organized searches.

If anyone has any information about Lauren's whereabouts, please call the Bloomington Police Department at 812-339-4477, or the Indiana University Police Department at 812-855-4111.

I Love This

One of the things I love about Dan is that he consistently texts pictures of Audrey to me when I am away (even if for just an hour or two). This makes me so happy!

Today before school:

This weekend before swimming:

This weekend after swimming:

It's Been a Bad Year for Toes (Warning: Gross Pics)

So, I think I broke my little toe last night. Damn baby gates.

This, of course, follows the big toe debacle from my trip to Mexico. My toe nail had to be cut off in the Cancun emergency room.

Above: Post-removal (I won't post what it looked like prior- ick)

Ouch!

In Case You Haven't Seen This Yet

I LOVE this! The Alamo Drafthouse (movie theater) in Austin, Texas used a hilarious (angry) voicemail from a girl they kicked out of their theater for texting.

For Melo

My Birthday List

My birthday is on June 12. I am going to post my birthday wish list everyday until then. Consider it my birthday registry.

I think the website of the actual product has crashed since this was posted online.

Only in Bloomington

Bad Blogger

Me=bad blogger. I hate it when bloggers don't update their sites (without an announcement of a hiatus). I have a good excuse though: dealing with bum plumbing in my current house, attending appointments for my new house, and losing my car/house/work keys (still not found).

Good news though: Dan is back for the summer! This will make everyday life less stressful and less busy. And, of course, Audrey is stoked. Last night she said to me "you go back" every time I came near her. That was followed by "I want my daddy." Of course you do, child. Daddy hasn't made you clean up, take baths, brush teeth, say "excuse me", etc for the last 8 months. I would want Daddy too. As Jen would say, "my child thinks I'm chopped liver compared to Daddy."

We had an awesome cookout at the Brumley's last night. How cute are these two post-bath?
